Why is a coach/mentor important?

Hey guys,

I thought it would be appropriate to start out this first blog post talking about the importance of having someone to coach and mentor you in whatever endeavor you are pursuing. I would not be in the position I am in today if it weren't for my personal coaches and mentors. It is very easy to get caught up in all the fluff and nonsense in today's world on any topic. Everyone has an opinion or product to sell. Many will tell you what you are trying to do can't be done. Let me just say that is simply not true. Anything can be accomplished with a goal, a step by step plan how to achieve that goal, and the execution of each step in that plan. Can this be done by yourself? sure it can. The question is are you willing to accept the fact that it will probably take you five times as long to achieve the success your looking for? So many people go through life trying to invent their own wheel. If someone already created the wheel and was willing to show you step by step how to create one,  why wouldn't you take them up on this offer? If there is any advice I can give, don't short change the fact the learning curve is shortened tremendously by having someone who is having success in the area you are looking for working along side you. Mentors and coaches have an invested interest in seeing you succeed.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I would like to give a quick shout out to the coaches and mentors who have helped and are still helping me today achieve my goals. I got into creative real estate reading the extremely influential creative investing strategies from Wendy Patton. Wendy led me to a coach who was investing in options similar to how a wholesaler would get a property under contract, and flip that property to another for a profit. That guy is Joe McCall. Joe's system really propelled my business to a new level, and eventually led me to a coach who not only used the incredible lease option strategy in many new ways I had never heard of, but also has been teaching me how to share the knowledge I have spent the last few years learning with others. If you have not heard the name Claude Diamond, you have been missing out if creative real estate is where you want to focus your intention. Claude has changed the way I run a business, and is who I credit more than anything to helping me be able to quit my 9-5 job and do this full time. Thank you Claude. I promise to teach others who are ready to change their lives the way I have wanted to change mine for years.

I'll end this post by saying this. No matter what you are trying to accomplish, find someone who is already showing success at it and sign up as their student. It will be the best investment you ever made. I am still a student and licensee of  "the mentor" Claude Diamond, and in my consulting business, I don't teach or recommend anything I haven't either already done, or are being taught myself.
